FORS Silver in 15 weeks, starting from no compliance system at all.
A Tier 1 contractor made FORS Silver a condition of the contract, with a 16-week deadline. There was no documented maintenance system, no fuel monitoring and older vehicles without the required safety equipment. We ran the Bronze and Silver gap analyses together, built the documentation, specified the kit and ran a full mock audit first.
Bronze passed in week 9 with zero action points. Silver followed in week 15, first time. The operator kept the contract and has since won two more that ask for Silver as a minimum.

FORS Standard v7.2 applies to every audit dated on or after 1 September 2026. The changes are small, but a missing diesel-to-AdBlue ratio now earns a minor action point, and Category B drivers have a new training route at Silver.
ISO 9001:2026 was published on 16 September 2026. If your transport business holds an ISO 9001:2015 certificate, you have until 30 September 2029 to transition, and the work fits best into your normal audit cycle.
